Rabari quizzed over Veer Narmad South Gujarat University ruckus
SURAT: Presence of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) syndicate member Bhavesh Rabari at the centenary celebration of MTB Arts College created tension among cops. Following Rabari’s allegation that he was asked to sell milk instead of doing PhD by VNSGU vice chancellor Shivendra Gupta sparked controversy and Maldhari community members staged dharna at the university on Monday.
It was threatened by the Maldhari community that they will make representation to the governor, too, in the issue. Since Monday evening police officials kept watch on the movement of Rabari and called him several times. When Rabari arrived at the event, the police surrounded him and sat along with him in the hall. Police also sat in his car when he left the venue and he was left alone only after the governor left. tnn
