The State Bank of India (SBI) is all set to announce the results of Junior Associate (customer support and sales) in clerical cadre this week on its official website, the link for which for which is

As per the schedule, the SBI conducted the Clerk Prelims recruitment examination 2018 on June 23, 24 and 30 at various test centres across the nation.

As reported by FreePressJournal, the SBI Clerk Result 2018 will be announced on July 18.


Vacancies for the post:

SBI had conducted the clerk recruitment exam to fill about 8,301 vacancies for the vacant posts of Junior Associate.

About the exam:

Spanning a period of one week (ending June 30, 2018), the exam is being conducted in four time slots: 2 each in the morning and evening.

A total of 100 questions had to be answered in 60 minutes. All the sections, except the English language, were available in both English and Hindi. Every correct answer will fetch 1 mark, while every incorrect answer will reduce the score by 0.25.


Exam analysis:

The English Language section was more or less along the same lines as the old pattern. Questions about inappropriate words, four highlighted words given, were there in which the candidate has to find out the incorrect word.

There was 1 set of five questions from Data Interpretation (Bar Graph based). The questions on Number Series were moderate. The Arithmetic-based questions were primarily from Time and Work, Ratio, SI and CI, Profit, Loss and Discount, Time, Speed and Distance etc. The overall difficulty level of this section was moderate.

There were three sets of five questions each from data arrangement. There was a set of five questions on alphabetical series based. Questions on blood relation and directions were also there. No syllogism questions were asked this year. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.


Selection procedure:

The selection will be made on the basis of an online preliminary and main examination and test of specified opted language.


Paper pattern:

Preliminary exam: The exam will consist of 100 questions based on the following three sections - English language, Numerical ability and Reasoning ability.

Duration of the exam: One hour

Main exam: The exam will have the following sections:

  • General/financial awareness
  • General English
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning ability and computer aptitude

Duration of the exam: Two hours and forty minutes
